Enjoy Bed and Breakfast in Alaska
Do you plan a fishing trip with some personal time on either end of "the fishing"?
Book a bed and breakfast in Alaska and enjoy a more personal touch to your stay.
Most people elect to camp out in the Last Frontier. Summer nights are wonderful for a tent outside. But I recommend you spend just one night in a bed and breakfast in Alaska.
Because this will give you a chance to rest up from all the frenzy of your flight and travel day, or meet local people and experience the Alaskan way of living.
A bed and breakfast is a home away from home.
Looking around, I found wonderful bed and breakfasts.
A studio type unit, complete with a kitchen amenities (2-burner stove, microwave, refrigerator and sink), living room, and private bath.
That would be PERFECT for me! And even better…
Your refrigerator is well stocked when you arrive, with milk, juice, eggs and breads. Everything needed to make a hot breakfast is awaiting you.
Or what about this one…
Your B&B has two large bedrooms with queen size beds that are extremely comfortable, ample closets and dressers.
It has a complete kitchen including coffeemaker, microwave, full size refrigerator and a dishwasher.
It also has coffee, tea, and a few snacks on the kitchen counter.
Two long cushy couches in the living room and a TV with cable and a VCR make it even more comfortable, as well as large, plush towels in the bathroom and an oversized tub (a welcomed amenity after the small showers on your fishing trip and the campgrounds).
I hear you think... What are the best B&B's?
The BEST bed and breakfasts are small and privately owned.
The owner usually lives in the same home and will do everything he or she can to make sure your stay is a pleasant one.
Your host can also fill you in on local fishing locations, restaurants, hiking trails and other interesting things to do on your fishing trip.
But… BE PREPARED!
The bed and breakfast industry in Alaska is huge. Finding one that meets your needs can be a challenge.
Search the internet for easy to navigate websites that help narrow down your choices to the select few you are interested in.
And then make a reservation.
Most bed and breakfast in Alaska websites provide reservation details and contact information to make this easy. In some cases you can even
make your B&B reservation on-line.
And when canceling your reservation, do it at least several days in advance.
